What services does Wanisa Renovations offer?

Seven home services in Kuala Lumpur: electrical installations and repairs, plumbing and leak repairs, IKEA furniture assembly, tile installation, waterproofing, interior and exterior painting, and clearing kitchen sink and drain blockages.

How do I get a quote?

WhatsApp us on 014-630 8041 with a few photos or a short video of the job and your area, or fill in the quote form with the service and your timeline. Simple jobs get a fixed price straight away; bigger or hidden problems (leaks, electrical faults, renovations) may need a site inspection first, and we tell you the inspection price before we come.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover homes across Kuala Lumpur, including Cheras, Kepong, Setapak, Wangsa Maju, Ampang, Bangsar, Mont Kiara, KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Sentul, Bukit Jalil, Sri Petaling, Old Klang Road, Kuchai Lama, TTDI, Desa ParkCity, Sri Hartamas, Damansara Heights, Brickfields, Setiawangsa, Keramat, Kampung Baru and Titiwangsa. See all areas; for addresses just outside KL, WhatsApp us to confirm.

How quickly can you come?

It depends on the job and our schedule that week. Urgent problems — active leaks, blocked kitchens, repeated power trips — are prioritised. Send your photos and area on WhatsApp and we will reply with the earliest available slot.

How much do your services cost?

Our price guide lists typical Kuala Lumpur price ranges for common jobs, such as RM40–RM90 to replace a socket, RM80–RM180 to unblock a kitchen sink, RM4–RM8 per sq ft for floor tiling labour and RM1,800–RM4,500 to re-waterproof a bathroom. Your actual price is fixed in your quote before any work starts.

Can you handle a whole bathroom or kitchen renovation?

Yes. Because one team covers plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling and painting, we can plan a bathroom or kitchen renovation in the right order — services first, then waterproofing, tiles and paint — without you coordinating several contractors.

Do you supply the materials?

Either way works. We can supply standard materials (pipes, fittings, sockets, adhesive, membrane, paint) and list them in the quote, or install items you have bought yourself, such as tiles, taps, lights or furniture.

Do you work in condos with strict renovation rules?

Yes. We follow your building’s rules on working hours, contractor registration, renovation permits and lift bookings, and can provide the details the management office asks for.

Can you work on weekends?

Often, yes — it depends on our schedule and on your building’s rules, as many condos do not allow noisy work on Sundays and public holidays. Tell us your preferred day when you message us.

Is there a charge for quoting from photos?

No — sending photos or a video on WhatsApp and getting a price costs nothing. If a job genuinely needs an on-site inspection or testing to diagnose, we tell you that price upfront.

Which languages do you speak?

You can message us in English or Bahasa Malaysia.

How do I pay?

Payment terms are confirmed in your quote before work starts, so you know exactly what is due and when.

01 · Electric

Electrical Services

Why does my power keep tripping?

Usually because an appliance or fitting is leaking current to earth — common culprits are water heaters, outdoor sockets and lights after rain, old kettles and washing machines. An overloaded circuit trips the MCB instead. We test each circuit to find the cause, then repair or replace the faulty part.

How much does an electrician cost in Kuala Lumpur?

Small jobs such as replacing a socket start from about RM40–RM90 per point, a new 13A power point is typically RM100–RM150, and fault finding starts around RM80. Bigger work like a DB box upgrade or rewiring is quoted after we see it. Send a photo on WhatsApp for a fixed quote.

Can you add more power points in my condo?

Yes. We can add sockets on existing circuits or run a new circuit when the load needs it, using surface trunking or concealed wiring. We follow your building’s renovation rules on working hours and noise.

Do you install ceiling fans and water heaters?

Yes — ceiling fans (including fans with remotes and lights) and instant or storage water heaters, with the correct isolator switch and earthing. If you have not bought the unit yet, we can advise what size suits your room or bathroom.

02 · Plumbing

Plumbing Services

How much does a plumber cost in KL?

Most small plumbing jobs in Kuala Lumpur cost between RM50 and RM250 — for example RM50–RM150 to fix a leaking tap or joint, or RM80–RM200 for a toilet flush repair. Hidden leaks that need tracing and hacking are quoted after inspection. Send a photo on WhatsApp for a fixed quote.

Can you find a leak inside the wall or under the floor?

Yes. We check the meter, isolate sections of the pipework and look for moisture patterns to narrow down the leak, so only the necessary tiles or plaster are opened. The repair and the making-good are quoted separately.

Why is my water pressure low?

Common causes are clogged tap aerators or shower heads, a blocked water filter, a partly closed valve, a weak booster pump or old corroded pipes. If the whole building is affected it may be an Air Selangor supply issue — we can tell the difference when we test.

Do you supply the taps, toilet bowl or heater?

We can supply standard parts at cost or install items you have bought yourself. If you are buying, send us the model first so we can confirm it fits your existing pipes.

03 · IKEA Furniture Installation

IKEA Furniture Installation

How much does IKEA furniture assembly cost in KL?

It depends on the item: small pieces are usually RM30–RM80, chests of drawers RM60–RM150, bed frames RM80–RM200 and wardrobes RM150–RM450 (PAX sliding-door systems RM350–RM800). Send your order list on WhatsApp and we will give a total for everything.

Do you assemble furniture from Taobao, Shopee or Lazada?

Yes. We assemble flat-pack furniture from any store, including imported Taobao sets with Chinese instructions. Send product links or photos of the boxes so we can quote accurately.

Can you collect my furniture from IKEA Cheras or IKEA Damansara?

Our job is assembly and installation. For collection, IKEA’s delivery service or a lorry/van service is usually more cost-effective; we can schedule our visit for the day after delivery.

How long does assembly take?

A bed frame or chest of drawers usually takes 45–90 minutes; a full PAX wardrobe with sliding doors and interior fittings can take half a day. A typical new-condo bedroom set is done in one visit.

04 · Tiles Installation

Tiles Installation

How much does tile installation cost per sq ft in KL?

Labour for floor tiling in Kuala Lumpur is typically RM4–RM8 per sq ft for standard sizes and RM7–RM12 for large-format tiles; wall tiling is around RM5–RM9. Hacking, screeding, waterproofing and the tiles themselves are extra. Send photos and measurements for an exact quote.

Can you fix tiles that are hollow or have popped up?

Yes. We remove the lifted and hollow tiles, clean and re-prepare the base, and set new or salvaged tiles with full adhesive coverage. If many tiles are hollow we will explain whether a partial repair or a full relay makes more sense.

Do you supply tiles?

We can recommend tiles and buy them for you, or install tiles you have chosen yourself. Order about 10% extra for cuts and future repairs.

How long does it take to tile a bathroom?

A typical bathroom floor and walls takes around 3–5 working days including hacking, waterproofing, curing and tiling. A floor-only job or backsplash is often done in 1–2 days.

05 · Waterproofing

Waterproofing

How much does bathroom waterproofing cost in Malaysia?

In Kuala Lumpur, re-waterproofing a bathroom floor properly — hacking the tiles, applying a reinforced membrane, flood testing and retiling — typically costs RM1,800–RM4,500 depending on size, tile choice and whether walls are included. A leak inspection on its own is around RM100–RM300.

My toilet is leaking into the unit below. What should I do?

First stop using the shower area if you can, then report it to your building management in writing with photos. Next, have the source checked: a leaking pipe or floor trap is repaired as plumbing, while failed waterproofing needs the floor redone. We can inspect and give a written report you can share.

Can waterproofing be done without hacking the tiles?

Sometimes — if the leak is from failed grout or sealant, re-grouting and sealing can work. But if the membrane under the tiles has failed, a lasting repair means removing the tiles in that area. We tell you which case you are in after inspection.

How long does bathroom waterproofing take?

Usually 3–5 working days: hacking, membrane application and curing, a 24–48 hour flood test, then screed and tiling. The bathroom cannot be used during this time.

06 · Paint Services

Paint Services

How much does it cost to paint a house in KL?

Interior painting in Kuala Lumpur is typically RM2.00–RM3.20 per sq ft of wall area including paint and labour (two coats). As a guide, a 1,000 sq ft condo is around RM3,000–RM5,000 and a single bedroom RM350–RM800; exteriors cost more because of weather-resistant paint and scaffolding.

How long does it take to repaint a condo?

A typical 2–3 bedroom condo takes 2–4 working days for walls and ceilings, depending on prep work and colours. A single room is usually finished in one day.

Do you move the furniture?

We move light furniture away from the walls and cover everything with protective sheets and floor covers. Please remove valuables, fragile items and wall-mounted TVs or let us know in advance.

Which paint brand do you use?

We work with established brands such as Nippon Paint, Dulux and Jotun. We will recommend a grade that suits the room — washable for kitchens and kids’ rooms, anti-fungus for bathrooms, weather-resistant for exteriors — or use the paint you prefer.

07 · Kitchen Blockage

Kitchen Blockage

How much does it cost to unblock a kitchen sink in KL?

A simple kitchen sink blockage in the trap or nearby pipe is typically RM80–RM180 in Kuala Lumpur. Deeper blockages that need a drain machine are around RM150–RM350, and high-pressure jetting RM300–RM700. We confirm the price before starting.

Why does my kitchen sink keep getting blocked?

Usually cooking oil and food scraps building up in the trap and waste pipe, a pipe with too little slope, or a sagging section that collects debris. If it keeps returning, a grease trap, a strainer or straightening the pipe run usually solves it.

Can I use a chemical drain cleaner?

We do not recommend it. Caustic cleaners rarely clear grease blockages fully, can damage pipes and seals, and are hazardous if the trap has to be opened afterwards. Try a plunger and hot (not boiling) water first, then call us.

Do you clear blocked toilets and bathroom drains too?

Yes — floor traps, basin wastes, shower drains and toilets. Hair and soap build-up in floor traps is one of the most common jobs we see.
